Spacious and clean family stay.

The space itself was beautiful and larger than expected (which was wonderful). Really enjoyed the outdoor space with large in ground hot tub. However, we did not realize it could only be accessed via stairs, which made it impossible for my mom to spend time with us. We also did not realize there would be such extensive cleaning requirements upon check out - thought it was a motel, not an AirBnB.

Cute, cozy, affordable

Blue Star Motel in Douglas was absolutely perfect for our anniversary trip. The room was adorable as described and the property is cute and clean. We walked to everything but the beach and loved the hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Tidy, clean, small place. Our family of five(three kids 8 and under) enjoyed the hot tub and common area in the front. My only complaint was with the washer/dryer. It gave me a few error messages and took several cycles to dry our clothes because the sensor sensed them as dry when they were very damp. I’m sure there’s a work-around, I just didn’t want to mess with it! There was also some road/power line construction that made the initial way in confusing due to road closures. Overall we had a nice time and would recommend the place based on location and ease of travel to downtown Saugatuck and Oval Beach.

Great Place to Star for a Couple

We loved the location of this rental. Yes, the arrangement off the rooms is a bit different but it was easily workable for us. The room arrangement would not deter us from renting again. Very clean and everything we needed was provided. Will definitely return.

Roomy & Comfortable

Thank you for a clean, comfortable home to stay in. The proximity to everything was very convenient. *would love some non stick pans. Kitchen well stocked otherwise.
