    In Michigan, the penalties for practicing real estate without a license or engaging in real estate with an unlicensed person include: Fines A first offense can result in a fine of $5,000–$25,000. Engaging in real estate with an unlicensed person can result in a fine of up to $500. Imprisonment A first offense can result in up to one year in prison. Engaging in real estate with an unlicensed person can result in up to 90 days in prison. Probation A court may order probation as part of the sentence. Probationers must comply with court orders and conditions, such as paying fines, not practicing real estate, and reporting to a probation officer.   • What is Quaint Cottages Cancellation policy and do we sell protection insruance?
    50% down required to book property. 100% refund 60 days from reservation, 50% refund 30 days from reservation, no refunds inside 30 days. The security deposit is refundable at the end of the stay as long as the contract has been abided by and there are no damages to the property. There are no refunds for early check-out. If at any point during stay the rental rules agreed to are not adhered to the guests will be removed and all rents forfeited. Quaint Cottages does offer rental insurance that can protect you from cancellations and property damages. Here’s a quick overview of what’s included during your stay: Linens & Towels: All bed linens and bath towels are provided for your stay. Please note that beach towels are not included. Kitchen Essentials: Your rental will be equipped with all the basic items needed to prepare and enjoy meals, such as cookware, utensils, plates, and glasses. For sanitary reasons, food and spices are not provided. Hot Tubs: If your property features a hot tub, it is available for use year-round. Gas Grills: If your property includes a gas grill, gas will be provided for your use. Fire Pits: If a firepit is available on the property, you will need to purchase your own firewood. Starter Items: To get you started, we will provide toilet paper, paper towels, bar hand soap, and shampoo. These items will not be replenished during your stay, so please plan accordingly.
